By click on the link, you have contracted a virus sent through messenger.

Im not sure if this will cure it ot not but its worth a try and its free.

After you install it, update it and then right click on the messenger icon and run the scan.

if the above doesnt work, then it will have to be removed manually.

1: Close the IE browser. Log out messenger / Remove Internet Cable.

2: To enable Regedit

Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (better - Copy and paste)

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV鈥?/v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

3: To enable task manager : (To kill the process we need to enable task manager)

Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (better - Copy and paste)

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV鈥?/v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

4: Now we need to change the default page of IE though regedit.

Start%26gt;Run%26gt;Regedit

From the below locations in Regedit chage your default home page to google.com or other.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\I鈥?Explorer\Main

HKEY_ LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Interne鈥?Explorer\Main

HKEY_USERS\Default\Software\Microsoft\鈥?Explorer\Main

Just replace the attacker site with google.com or set it to blank page.

5: Now we need to kill the process from back end. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del

Kill the process svhost32.exe . ( may be more than one process is running.. check properly)

6: Delete svhost32.exe , svhost.exe files from Windows/ %26amp; temp/ directories. Or just search for svhost in your comp.. delete those files.

7: Go to regedit search for svhost and delete all the results you get.

Start menu %26gt; Run %26gt; Regedit %26gt;

8: Restart the computer. That鈥檚 it now you are virus free. Why is the address bar of my control panel is disabled %26amp; i can't change my home page?
There's a very good chance that you clicked on a link that infested your computer with ';malware.'; This type of software often redirects or ';hijacks'; your home page to another page (among other nasty little stunts). First, run a spyware program (preferably two different ones) to clear out any known spyware/malware. After you have done that, go to Start%26gt;Control Panel and click on the Add/Remove Programs icon. Allow the list to populate (which may take a couple of minutes), then look at the programs on the list to see if there are any which look like advertising programs. If you find one that your spyware program didn't detect, you can remove it from the list with the Remove button. Read the instructions it gives you carefully, as they are often worded to be very tricky. In some rare instances, the ';remove'; option will not work for a particularly tenacious/nasty program. In that case, you may need to run a search on the name of the program to find a way to remove it. If it gets to the point that you have to edit the registry, I STRONGLY urge taking the machine in to have someone do it who is comfortable with editing at that level; I do NOT advocate registry editing for the average user; at the company I work for, which you would unquestionably recognize, we send a technician out rather than asking the average end-user to do a registry hack - but hopefully it won't come to that. Good luck!
Your browser probably got ';hijacked'; by spyware.

Use this link, then click ';Remove CoolWebSearch'; and it'll start a download. Run it and it'll walk you through the process. TrendMicro is an AntiVirus company, you're safe.

If that doesn't work, try SpyBot - Search %26amp; Destroy.
SpyBot - Search %26amp; Destroy. shud fix the issue..
Use 3 anti-spyware programs and do an online virus scan, which should take care of you for now but don't forget that once a computer is infected you can't ever be sure you have gotten rid of it all. That is why when you have a free day, backup and reinstall. I know it is a pain but is is the only way to be sure it is gone.
