To disable active-x control go to Tools-%26gt;Internet Options-%26gt;Security tab and click custom level. Scroll down until you see Run Active-X and Plugins then click disable. Click OK, Apply and then OK again. Yes, you can turn ActiveX off.





If you are using IE, just go up to Tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt;Security%26gt;Internet%26gt;Choose Custom Level





From there you will be able to disable ActiveX.
