Why does my mouse not control the page when I try to move it sometimes?

Hello,

Maybe time for new one,

As mine did this, was because of hair %26amp; dirt caught in it.

I'm not saying you should do this but I just cleaned mine with a Q tip.

Work like a charm now.

You may have it set too fast, it would seem hyperresponsive, and might jump off the scroll bar too much. Why does my mouse not control the page when I try to move it sometimes?
You mean the little wheel (if yours has one) in the middle on top doesn't move the page up and down, or do you mean the cursor moves in crazy places.

If its the first one, you may want to replace your mousey.

If its' the second one, open up the bottom, catch the ball and keep it, and look in there at all the possible grime that's in thar. You may have to clean it out! Use your fingernail and some spit or alcohol and clean that brown stuff off the little wheels in there. :-) Good finding!
Take of the round thingy on back of your mouse and clean all the lint form your mouse with a toothpick real carefully. It's dirt !! You will see the difference. Replace the thingy LOL !!
You need to be more specific with details. If it is a track ball mouse the ball may need cleaned. You can do this with a dry clothe and some rubbing alcohol. Mouse gets dirty and needs to be cleaned. People need to clean all their mouses because of the oils off their hands and the environment which they may live. Unplug the mouse from your tower and inspect it for grime. Take a q-tip and clean it out. Best way to prevent grime on the mouse is to wash the hands before using it.
Although you can try cleaning your mouse, I found that it is better to switch to a wireless optical mouse. You can pick a good one up for under $30
Change the surface it's riding on.
