Get a free anti-spyware like SpyBot or Spyware Terminator and scan your computer:

Well, this problem has three parts to it. First of all, you've somehow gotten ahold of a spyware. Once the spyware infected your computer, it gained control of your settings and changed your opening page. Also, you should've figured out that your spyware/virus removal and detection program, if you have one, isn't working properly. So... here's what I suggest you do.

First of all, go to Tools in the toolbar of your Internet Explorer, click on Internet Options, and then you should see where you change your homepage.

Once you've changed that, you'll want to download some sort of spyware/virus program such as CounterSpy or Ad-Aware. Both of these are free, at least for a trial. Then run a scan on your system.

After that, delete the spyware/viruses it detects. If the problem still occurs, then you need to look deeper into it and will probably have to delete the spyware manually, which means it is deeply embedded and, if you don't know exactly what you're doing, you should seek professional help.

I hope everything works out for you and your computer.
You have a virus or trojan/hijacker. Download Avast Antivirus or something equivalent. It's free and thorough. I'd suggest going to download.com to get an accurate list of the best free antivirus / antispyware.

Update your antivirus and antispyware. Boot your computer in safe mode. Run all scans to detect and remove infection.
Do you have X.P. or beater? If so click on your start button,A menu will appear,Go down to All Programs, hold your courser their another menu will appear,go to Accessories, hold the courser. Another menu will appear,go to System tools,Another menu will appear,Go to and click on System Restore,Now fallow its direction.
in IE from the menu go Tools - Internet Options, then under ';Address'; key in the address you want for your home page.

In Firefox/Mozilla go Tools - Options and do the same to the ';Home Page'; entry.

If you can't do that, your browser may have been hijacked by a CoolWebSearch bug, in which case you've got trouble.

I ended up purchasing a spyware remover from Trend Micro before I could erase that thing.
use these scans to remove it. Spy doctor is one of those bogus programs that try to get you to buy a program that is useless.

All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.

Spybot - Search %26amp; Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been ';hijacked'; (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S%26amp;D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.
