I was just wondering if it was possible to change the page that comes up when a page is blocked and it says ask an admin for permission, etc. i would like to know how to replace that with my own content so the other users of the computer don't know that i'm filtering them.Change vista parental controls page blocked screen?
I don't think you can change it. You must follow the default.
I tried to search but can't find any

Why are all the controls on the Skin page for my Second Life character inactive? They show & make no changes!?
And how do I learn the answers to similar questions? Obviously, I'm totally new at this!Why are all the controls on the Skin page for my Second Life character inactive? They show %26amp; make no changes!?
You're probably wearing a skin that you purchased (or found free). That skin is marked as no-modify so you can't make any changes to it.
I bought Second Life for Dummies at Barnes and Noble. It was actually very helpful.Why are all the controls on the Skin page for my Second Life character inactive? They show %26amp; make no changes!?
Most skins in SL are 'no modify'. You may also find that many purchased shapes are also no modify.
However, there is a nice freebie skin for guys at a place called Belleza. Look for it in search and teleport there. Inside the lobby you will see two boxes just inside the door. One for girls - one for guys. To get it, look above the boxes for the Belleza group sign. Click on it and then open Local Chat and you will find a group link (a bit like a webpage address). Click on that link to open the group page and join the group (it's free). So - with the Belleza group tag showing over your head - right click on the male skin and buy it for L$0. Check in your inventory for the Belleza folder and inside you will see the skin. Wear it. No need to alter it as it's a really nice skin - better than any you will currently have in your inventory.

Your curent security settings prohibit running activex controls on this page?
This is the error I get when I try to visit some websites. I enabled activex in IE-toots-internet options and I selected the lower level of security.I have only Yahoo messenger installed on my computer. I use windows xp. I just installed a fresh copy of it. I have no firewall. What can I do?Your curent security settings prohibit running activex controls on this page?
To find ActiveX settings: In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options. Select the Security tab. Be sure the Internet zone is selected. Click the Custom Level button. In the window, scroll down to 'ActiveX controls and plug-ins.' There are five settings here. Your ActiveX controls should be set to:
1.'Download signed ActiveX controls'鈥攕et to 'Prompt.' Signed ActiveX controls from a known organization and are considered safe. But you still want to be asked/prompted about this since there may be some sites (using signed ActiveX controls) that you may not want download into your computer. This prompt will give you that option.
2.'Download unsigned ActiveX controls'鈥攕et to 'Disable.' This will prevent the downloading of unsigned controls.
3.'Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe'鈥攕et to 'Disable.'
4.'Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins'鈥攕et to 'Enable.' This will prevent you from being repeatedly prompted once you have accepted them.
5.'Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting'鈥攕et to 'Enable.' Ditto鈥攐nce I have accepted them, do not prompt me about them repeatedly.Your curent security settings prohibit running activex controls on this page?
U don't have to put secuirity level to minimum.
U can still make it work if u go on Internet explorer : Tools-%26gt;Internet Options.
then Secuirity tab and press the button Custom Level.
Then as a list will appear choose ';run Active x control ... blabla';
It'll work!
PS Don't put it secuirity level ';minimum';

If you are the administrator then you should be able to go in to the settings and change it to your desire.

Is there a way to control how much i see of my ex's facebook profile page?
My girlfriend and i recently broke up. i don't want to delete her or to block her or impose any restrictions on her - i purely want to restrict WHAT I SEE so iam not contantly sucked into looking at her photos and seeing her status updates.
i have done the 'reduce how much of this person' you see filtering but it's not enough.
is there a way from my side (or her side if she will agree to do it) to set facebook so she can have full access to my page and profile as she desires but make it so i cannot see her updates or photos or interaction with other people.
the key here is that id like to not have to 're-add' each other later.
part of the question here i guess is could i ask her to block me? and thus she'd still be able to see mine? my profile is not set to 'public' though..Is there a way to control how much i see of my ex's facebook profile page?
Well, there isnt such an option for u unless u block her for a while until both of you make up again or just have a self control of yourselfIs there a way to control how much i see of my ex's facebook profile page?
Try self control!
